Overview:
We are seeking a Computer Engineering Assistant, responsible for providing technical support for mission critical systems for both in-house and client IT solutions. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring and installing new equipment, and maintaining and updating systems.
· Experience candidates with 1 - 2 years and Fresh Poly Graduates are welcomed
· Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology or related field
· 1-3 years of experience in IT support or related field will have an advantage
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other common business software
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
· Knowledge of server administration, networking and network protocols
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
Working Conditions
- This position may require working outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, and may require on-call availability for emergency situations.
- Should you be required to work on public holidays, Off-in lieu will be arranged.
- Provide technical support for operations critical hardware and software issues both for in-house and client systems.
- Configure and install new equipment, including servers, workstations, printers, and other peripherals
- Perform routine maintenance and updates for servers and systems, including backups, virus scans, and software updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues
- Assist with on-the-ground operations when needed, including providing support, setup temporary IT infrastructure or stand in for security personnel.
- Stay up to date with new technology trends and provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades
