As an Accounts Executive, responsible for various duties relating to maintaining accurate and current accounts payable and accounts receivable, including data entry, generating statements, and timely communicating with appropriate stakeholders regarding the status of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and related information for identifying past due accounts and related information.
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage cash flow effectively.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and managing vendors.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, inventories, and other financial records.
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate and current financial records in MYOB accounting software.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for precise financial analysis and reporting.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software, preferably MYOB, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Capability to work independently and within a team environment. Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
