JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent shall implement projects in partnership with the registered churches in China for scripture programs, which includes translation, publication, distribution, engagement and equipping.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establish and develop good relationships and manage communications with Provincial
Church partners.
2. Establish the needs of the Churches and implement projects accordingly and propose new projects and initiatives that are needed.
3. Manage communications with Chinese church leaders to develop and execute scripture
programs.
4. Work with Project Managers to submit plans, updates, feedback and reports on status of
project implementation in a timely manner.
5. Work with Comms Dept to collect stories and testimonies for sharing with the Company and supporters.
6. Support Project Managers in their planning, reporting and budget submission.
7. Facilitate dialogues and meetings between Church partners and Project Managers
8. Co-ordinate, organize and provide guidance for visits made by supporters and visitors to
China, as well as trips made by the China Church partners to supporters around the world.
9. Carry out any other duties as may be assigned to you
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
● Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
● Extensive work experience in China with sensitivity to different world views, cultures and opinions.
● Experience living and traveling within China and familiar with the geographical landscape of China.
● Excellent people, relationship and communication skills.
● Ability and willingness to travel frequently into China.
● Self-motivated, with enough personal confidence to be open to continuous learning and development.
● Setting an example by demonstrating an ability to manage one’s own emotions and behaviours, particularly through times of change.
● Has a passion for Bible missions in China and understands the culture and context of China.
● Proficient in Word Processing, PowerPoint, Excel and other applications.
Other Desirable Skills and experience
● Experience in project, planning and strategizing.
● Experience of working with global networked teams, and a track record in using all available communication tools in the context of a dispersed staff team.
● Experience of working within an organisation operating in China or with China-related interests.
● Experience of working in an international Christian ministry would be an advantage.
