Job Responsibilities:
Assessment and Planning:
- Conduct client assessments and develop therapy plans
- Document client care information.
- Set and communicate goals with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Support clients’ return to work.
Therapy and Education:
- Perform and adjust therapy interventions.
- Educate clients, families, and employers.
- Develop educational materials and training programs.
- Conduct fieldwork visits to support client transitions.
Supervision and Development:
- Mentor and audit support staff and therapists.
- Review staff competencies.
- Plan new team member orientation.
- Supervise students and staff.
- Coordinate departmental training and projects.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Pathology, with at least 5 years of work experience in a hospital setting
- A valid AHPC Practising Certificate
- Experience in working with populations with neurological conditions would be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to work in a team and independently
