Your Role
As an SAP BASIS Consultant, you are expected to work and deliver autonomously, coaching colleagues while working on customer and internal engagements.
Your Responsibilities
a. Liaise with stakeholders to understand business needs and user requirements, change management and be part of technical requirements and design.
b. Support/perform SAP Basis Administration activities such as user administration, transporting objects, and technical setup to SAP systems.
c. Document SAP processes, procedures, and plans; including changes, upgrades, and new services.
d. Work closely with the clients and business stakeholders to understand their pain points and requirements.
e. Install, configure, maintain, migrate or upgrade the SAP systems as required.
f. Coordinate and drive basis-related initiatives with the SAP delivery team.
g. Manage service requests and coordination with customers in an SAP RISE environment like client copies, review of EWA reports and apply SAP security notes.
h. Look into and troubleshoot SAP Basis-related issues.
i. Perform regular maintenance and performance Tuning for Database and SAP systems.
j. Maintain design specifications, documentation, development and testing methodology.
k. Provide application support and be involved in various stages of SDLC.
l. Vendor management.
m. Handle SAP project design, testing, and training implementation.
About you
Your Knowledge, Skills and Qualification
a. Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent work experience.
b. Minimum of 6 years' experience in SAP BASIS/Netweaver/ABAP Application Server monitoring and Administration.
c. Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
d. Independent with strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
e. Strong integration working experience with other SAP modules.
f. Related professional/technical qualification will be a plus although not mandatory.
g. Good problem-solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking and solutioning skills.
h. Relevant SAP Certification would be a plus.
Your Experience
a. Familiar with SAP ECC and HANA on-premises and on RISE environments.
b. Experience in the SAP ABAP/JAVA stack and interfaces.
c. Good experience in BPC system configurations, upgrades/installations, performance tuning and migration activities
d. Expert in investigating and resolving issues related to system performance.
e. Can document SAP processes, procedures, and plans, including changes, upgrades, and new services.
f. Exposure to emerging SAP technologies like SAP BTP, SAP S4HANA public cloud would be a plus.
g. Experience in regional template roll-out.
