Our Client is in a Marine Electronics industry with history spanning over 40 years and HQ located in Japan, currently seeks a Design Engineer to join their team.
Reporting to the Manager, the incumbent will be working in a team of 15 staffs. He / She will be responsible to ensure that the engineering designs are in compliance with project specific requirements, and in-line with the Engineering Standard Practice, Company’s ISO procedures, national and international engineering norms, codes, and safety requirements. The main duties will include generating block diagrams, bill of materials, functional design specifications, design calculation, wiring drawings, and all other documents and drawings as required by project and necessary to ensure equipment can be procured, integrated, tested, installed and handed over to the customer on schedule.
Additionally, He / She will need to provide technical support to other business units, ensure equipment supplied for a specific project is technically compliant with relevant specification requirements, project technical standards, correctly configured and completed, produces test procedure documentation appropriate to project commissioning, and ensures equipment specified and designed can be successfully integrated with other equipment with which it has to interface to.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma holder in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience as a Design Engineer with knowledge in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Prior working experience in marine, electronics, and offshore industry will be preferred
- Prior design experience in PAGA system, security system (CCTV and Access Control), navigation system, radio communication system, LAN & IP Telephony system, would be an advantage
