Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in cargo transport and engineering across various vessel types.
- Providing transport engineering solutions including heavy lifting, sea-fastening, ship stability, and structural analysis.
- Preparing and updating cargo stowage, lifting, sea-fastening, and operational plans.
- Offering technical support and solutions to commercial and chartering teams for cargo projects.
- Planning and developing safe and cost-effective operational solutions in collaboration with commercial, operations teams, and cargo superintendents.
- Coordinating and managing cargo operations and projects effectively.
- Attending technical and operations meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with operational plans, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements during loading and discharging operations.
Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in maritime studies, engineering, or related fields.
- Proven experience as a Cargo Superintendent or similar role in maritime operations.
- Strong technical knowledge in cargo transport, engineering solutions, and operational planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Ability to supervise and ensure adherence to HSE standards during operations.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and monitoring daily operational activities.
- Willingness to travel and attend operations on vessels as required.
