Job Title: Factory Manager
Reports To: Managing Director
Job Summary:The Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the curtains and blinds manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The Supervisor will lead a team of workers, manage resources, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth and productive manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:Oversee daily production activities to ensure targets are met.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficient operations.
Ensure all machinery and equipment are functioning properly and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Quality Control:Implement and maintain quality control standards and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Team Leadership:Supervise, train, and mentor production staff.
Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure team efficiency and productivity.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
Address any safety concerns and implement improvements as necessary.
- Resource Management:Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely supply of materials.
Optimize the use of resources to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of production output, quality issues, and other key metrics.
Prepare regular reports for management on production performance and areas for improvement.
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and quality.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in curtains and blinds production.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and MS Office Suite.
