The Legal Counsel will be part of the Amundi South Asia legal team. He/She will assist the team in legal research and administration, review and negotiation of documents applicable to AMUNDI’s operations in the South Asia region, and the negotiation and liaison with foreign counterparts in France, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, etc.
Responsibilities
· Conduct legal research on various matters of Singapore and French / European Union laws as well as assist the legal team in administrative matters.
· Draft and review all legal documents for Amundi entities in South Asia in accordance with Amundi Legal Business Line Policy, including but not limited to:
- § Master agreements for derivatives, collateral, repurchase and securities lending (ISDA, CSA)
- § Investment Management Agreements
- § Distribution/ Placement Agreements
- § Other Corporate Agreements
- § Other Initiatives
· Coordinate/Provide legal advice in the context of the marketing of Amundi's expertise in intra-group relations (Amundi subsidiaries or partner networks); Participate in the development of standardized contracts/contractual clauses and the harmonization of standards.
· Assist to provide corporate secretarial support for Amundi entities in Singapore, and oversee corporate secretarial of other South Asia offices.
Requirements
· Degree in Law with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a funds/investment setting.
. Experience with Singapore and/or European Union financial services regulations is necessary.
. Experience with International Swaps and Derivatives Association agreements retail funds regulations, drafting and negotiating distribution agreements and investment management agreements is preferred.
· Detailed and possess a can-do attitude.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
· Strong verbal and writing skills in English. Ability to speak and write in French is a plus.
