The Engineering Manager has the following technical responsibility for MPW-AP Power business in the region which includes:-
· Per agreed strategies, approach customers to build strong business relationships that will lead to identifying new business opportunities
· Preparation of technical proposal specifications and contract documents about MPW products.
· Responding to client's questionnaires/clarifications for our technical proposals.
· Contract negotiation with clients on technical aspects such as plant mechanical and project general matters about MPW products
· Internal coordination with teams (sales, marketing, commercial, technical, costing, procurement, construction, project execution, development, and manufacturing, together with a team of HQ in Japan) to prepare the best proposal
· Risk assessment of the project such as technical specification, techno-commercial terms, schedule, client, and partner etc. and establish the countermeasure
· Support the team to proceed with winning strategy for taking up scheme, teaming, costing, strategic deviations, etc.

Job responsibilities
Business Development for new projects and after service
· Maintain effective relationships with customer to enable the Company to stay informed of customer’s needs as early as possible
· Identify opportunities early and collaborate with Headquarters to develop competitive solutions
· Follow up regularly with customers on potential opportunities
· Take leading role in presenting Company’s technical solutions and proposals to customers
· Traveling to customers to give presentations about MPW products
· Document installed equipment in the facilities visited by updating company’s installed databases
· Collect information about customers to learn their plan for new projects and maintenance, spending strategies
· Develop strategies on how to approach each customer
· Understand the competition and develop strategies on how to win against them
· Understand country regulations/policies/strategies and how they will affect the power service business
· Coordinate activities with other stakeholders in the company
Operations during bidding stage
· Responsible for all technical aspects to realize project bids through contract closeout
· Prepare the technical proposal for Mitsubishi Power’s business of new project (mainly CCGT Equipment Supply, include EPC Services, Steam Power Equipment, Air Quality Control System, Fuel Cell and other MHI Power Business Products) within the required timeframe
· Support technical clarifications with customers
· Manage and review technical proposal submissions
· Risk assessment of the project/s such as technical terms, schedule, client, partner, country, etc. and establish the countermeasure
· Be involved in negotiations and closing of details.
· Lead in negotiations and discussions with related parties include developer, consultants, EPC provider to win the projects
· Internal coordination with teams (sales, marketing, technical, costing, procurement, construction, project execution, development, manufacturing, together with team of HQ in Japan) to prepare the best proposal
Technical Support
· Assist Clients for any failures arising after completion of Company’s work
· Review technical presentations related to Company’s products and services in support of business development activities, including presentations at conferences
Job requirement
· Master or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
· Professional knowledge on CCGT Equipment Supply, include EPC Services, Steam Power Equipment, Air Quality Control System, Fuel Cell and engineering functions
· Must have minimum 5 years of experience as mechanical engineer of power generation plant
· Experience bidding on multiple large gas turbine projects
· Lead the relationship between new project section MHI Japan and MPW-AP
Able to work under pressure
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
· Knowledge of thermal power plant especially for CCGT including general understanding of thermal power plant principal and features of main equipment such as GT and ST
· Have an experiences to utilize the software of plant performance calculation such as Ebsilon, GateCycle, and Thermoflow (GT Pro, GT Master) etc.
· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
· Excellent skills to convince the others with reasonable background and find out the solution as win-win scheme
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary output
· Must have the strongest commitment to comply with the compliance policy of the company
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
· Preferable to have an experience to work and execute the thermal power plant project as an plant engineer and/or commissioning engineer
· Preferable to have a knowledge of commercial terms
· Preferable to have an experience to work with Japanese company and know the Japanese mind
· Outgoing and positive personality ability to build relationship quickly and effectively
· Analytical and problem-solving skill
· QMS Management Experience
· International experience is preferred
