Role Overview: As the Assistant Director of Corporate Services at the Muslimin Trust Fund Association, you will be responsible for the internal operations of the company. This involves overseeing our administration, human resources, and finance departments. By ensuring the smooth operation of these areas, you will contribute to the achievement of MTFA's mission, which aims to provide social and welfare support to the community. The Assistant Director of Corporate Services will also fulfil the role of the Company Secretary, and be responsible for ensuring compliance to corporate law. You will collaborate with senior management and department heads to implement strategies that promote organisational growth and the effective utilisation of resources.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Financial Management

  • Oversee the organisation's financial activities, including budget preparation, financial analysis, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and funding guidelines specific to non-profit organisations.
  • Monitor and manage financial resources to support MTFA's programs and projects.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.


2. Administration

  • Oversee administrative department to ensure the efficient functioning of day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance client satisfaction, particularly MTFA's counter services.
  • Manage office facilities and resources to create a conducive work environment for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to administrative functions.


3. Human Resources

  • Oversee the HR department in developing and implementing human resources strategies aligned with MTFA's mission and values.
  • Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition processes to attract skilled and passionate individuals to join the organisation.
  • Guide the implementation of performance management systems and training programs to foster employee development.
  • Promote a positive work culture that upholds MTFA's values of compassion, integrity, and inclusivity.


4. Strategic Planning and Reporting

  • Contribute to the development of MTFA's strategic plans and goals.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on the performance of corporate services departments to senior management and the Board of Trustees.


5. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to non-profit organisations.
  • Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organisation's reputation and resources.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple corporate service functions, preferably in the Social Service Sector.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align corporate services with MTFA's mission and objectives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
