About
Our healthcare client is looking for an accountant who will play a crucial role in overseeing monthly financial reporting and analysis, budget tracking and utilization, annual budgeting, forecasting, and the implementation and maintenance of financial policies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly financial closing and analysis of Income and Expenditure and Balance Sheet statements, including review and reclassification of journal entries.
- Support annual external and internal audits, collaborating with Finance Shared Services and Users to address auditor queries.
- Maintain monthly budget utilisation templates, including IT budgets, and resolve departmental queries to ensure effective budget tracking.
- Prepare and coordinate claims submission to MOH and funding agencies, tracking disbursement and reimbursement processes.
- Assist in managing budgets for furniture, fittings, and equipment.
- Contribute to the financial assessment of vendors during procurement processes.
- Participate in the annual budgeting and regular forecasting activities.
- Engage in system enhancements and implementations to meet new statutory or operational requirements.
- Update and maintain finance policies, workflows, and procedural documents.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- 1-2 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, and budget management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP / Hyperion knowledge preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal skills.
