We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join an Energy trading MNC as a Settlements Analyst. This role is crucial for the day-to-day functions of invoice creation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement of physical and derivatives trading activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in trading settlement (invoice, payment & receipts) along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice creation, distribution, reconciliation and settlement of physical and financial trading activities
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements around settlement processes
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve invoice reconciliation discrepancies proactively and timely
- Responsible for ensuring the timely collection of cash and aging reporting
- Work with the operations team to clear overdue Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable items and non-allocated cash
- Ensure the Settlements team SOP documentation is kept updated
- Ensure compliance with trading standards and other regulatory requirements
- Ensure correct tax treatment of invoices
- Other tasks and projects assigned by the Settlements Manager
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, or equivalent with 4 years’ experience in settlement or operations with commodities products
- Working experience with an oil & gas company is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office especially in Microsoft Excel
- Sun/Horizon/IMOS system experience is an advantage
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
