About the position
The Senior Policy and Research Officer works to the High Commission’s political and economic section. The position will play a key role in monitoring and analysing Singapore’s economic and/or domestic political environment, including policy developments, commercial and investment decisions, and emerging themes and trends of relevance to the Singapore-Australia relationship. The key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and deepen a current understanding of the Singapore Government’s economic policies and emerging issues of interest to Australia to inform reporting, strategies and discussions.
- Undertake research and analysis in order to provide advice, insights and briefings on key policy trends and drivers, and emerging themes related to government policy and the economic and business environment (topics including but not limited to economics, trade, digital economy, infrastructure, investment, services, innovation, finance, climate change and renewable energy).

Qualifications / Experience
- Demonstrated skills in building and managing productive working relations with contacts, and a proven ability to utilise networks (in-person and online).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Singaporean economic and business environment, including Government policies and positions.
