Job Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to refine requirements and reconcile them with user needs, while employing your toolkit that includes information architecture, lo-fi wireframes, prototypes, and software frameworks and libraries for web, mobile, and desktop apps.
- Design and engineer solutions that balance user needs with strategic business goals, while using and helping shape the Design System at the same time.
- Inform and validate design solutions through qualitative and quantitative research.
- Opportunity to collaborate with other designers and engineers, build rapport with adjacent teams, and gain experience towards a lead role.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a technology-focused startup, agency, or contractor capacity, with a track record of solving complex UX problems and developing and delivering impactful products.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese, written and spoken at a professional level.
- Adept at turning business and product requirements into interactive high-fidelity prototypes for internal and external testing.
- Experience developing web, mobile, and desktop apps.
- An impressive online portfolio showcasing solutions across multiple design and development challenges.
- Experience bringing projects from concept to execution.
- Proficient with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other leading design tools in a Mac environment.
- Ability to function both independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability and experience in web development technologies like HTML, CSS, front-end frameworks, databases, and REST APIs.
- Ability to distill key decisions and discussions and translate them into compelling solutions.
- Demonstrated passion to delight the audience and empathy for the user.
