The company is currently looking for a Trade Marketing Executive / Senior Executive, reporting directly to the Marketing Manager. You will oversee the development, implementation and support the company’s marketing programs aligned with the company's business objectives and products. The candidate has to be self-driven and possess strong interpersonal, and communication skills.
Position Summary
This is strongly cross-functional role; requires the selected candidate to build a strong working relationship between the marketing and sales team, this position will initiate and/or support efforts towards developing, implementing and assessing programs to effectively market to our consumers through our customers. Support the building and implementation of brand plans and strategies established for assigned brands and target audiences. These plans should optimize the return on brand investment inclusive of consumer promotions, trade communications, and customer-specific marketing.
Primary Roles
Be a team player and contributor on strategy, planning, activation & evaluation for assigned channel:
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to develop the Trade Marketing Strategy to achieve defined business objectives across all product categories
- Own responsibility for the development, execution, and performance of all programs designed to increase presence and off takes
- Responsible for the coordination of Trade Marketing Investments and execution standards
- Work closely to develop effective channel strategies with channel/ segment managers & implementing the associated plans
- Manage and evaluate ROI of trade promotion to achieve maximum returns
Manage and coordinate segment BTL (sales initiated) calendar/ activities aligning to consumers:
- Participate (under supervision of Marketing Manager) in the design of the promotional materials and maintain contacts with the channel/segment managers, in order to supervise all promotional activities.
- Development of a trade promotional plan with channel manager
- Working closely with sales team to provide category and shopper insights to drive performance
Work on project/s which benefit different levels of commercial goals eg Productivity, Efficiency etc:
- Manage initiatives which contribute to the Company’s goals and objectives and improve market share, customer satisfaction and productivity performance.
- Develop, implement & evaluate category plans to meet profit objectives.
Secondary Roles
To be able to work with Sales Team to analyse gaps for improvements & innovate ideas to fill them eg Standards for a perfect outlet, improvement required to achieve activation target
To be the bridge for sales and marketing to achieve commercial efficiency:
- For any form of communications directly or indirectly linked to Company/Brand equity works under strict supervision and responsibility of Marketing Dept
- Providing seasoned leadership in the translation and execution of the Marketing strategy into programs
To work (plan, coordinate & execute) with marketing on selected projects/initiatives within assigned channel:
- Ensuring alignment across the Sales and Marketing organisations on sales needs and marketing initiatives, including coordination with legal and budget management whenever necessary
- Assist in development and delivery of new product availability plans
- Assist in co-ordination and communication of product, price and pack changes
To manage (plan, coordinate & manage) E-Store:
- Develop promo mechanics to drive online sales
- Manage incoming orders together with fulfilment team
- Develop and manage marketing/promo materials for E-Store promos
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Business/ Marketing;
- At least 2-3 years of field sales or sales management/marketing experience within a similar environment
- Resourceful and self-driven, able to work independently;
- Proficient in both English and Mandarin
- Candidates with people management experience preferred
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE/ SPECIFIC SKILLS
Proven track record of delivering effective marketing programs, a broad knowledge of marketing principles and experience of utilizing them in challenging and progressive environments
- Excellent understanding of marketing and research analysis techniques including segmentation, profiling and modelling along with strong data analytic skills
- Good sense of market trends and changes; sensitive to the needs and changing tastes of the consumer
- Understanding of the company’s business strategies, competitive environment and industry trends to proactively anticipate business needs and develop appropriate objectives and strategies
