Assistant / Finance Manager (E-commerce or Retail)
Our client from Retail industry is looking for an experienced Assistant / Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Record transactions in SAP for various financial activities including bank deposits, loans, capital injections, insurance, and rental expenses.
- Coordinate non-trade payments such as rent, insurance premiums, loan interest, and security deposits.
- Establish and maintain asset, vendor, customer, and bank codes in SAP, and manage financial agreements.
- Monitor fixed assets, transfer construction-in-progress to fixed assets, and seek approvals for additions, disposals, or write-offs of assets.
- Execute month-end closing procedures, encompassing account reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and depreciation.
- Prepare monthly management reports, declarations, and surveys.
- Manage invoice verification processes, document discrepancies and damaged items, and liaise with vendors for credit or debit notes.
- Follow up on vendor transactions for customer refunds or exchanges and process credit notes.
- Manage import GST postings, prepare GST payments, and adjust for currency fluctuations.
- Prepare and verify trade payments, post freight charges, and manage watch incentive rebates.
- Perform month-end closing for accounts payable (AP) vendor accounts, parked documents, and GRIR non-cleared list postings.
- Prepare lists of outstanding inbound damaged items and review GRIR accounts.
- Reconcile receipts against accounts receivable (AR) to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Execute stock transfers, update sales records, handle capital injections/reductions, and perform necessary journal entries accurately and promptly.
- Ensure timely and smooth month-end closing for e-commerce retail operations.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the e-commerce retail department.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth business operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting and Finance, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting in e-commerce or retail.
- Proficient in SAP, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Possess strong analytical skills to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, comprehend, and interpret financial statements.
- Effective prioritization and time management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
