Key Responsibilities:
- Software development, documentation and handle commissioning of PLC controls (Beckhoff / Siemens Simatic S7 / Allen Bradley)
- Development of PLC applications, HMI’s, drive systems, intelligent visualization & data acquisition systems and information solutions for large manufacturing customers
- Implement and commission machine safety and safety systems including guarding, safety categories, and performance levels
- Lead OEE improvements and troubleshoot complete system incl. Automation, Controls Software, Communication protocols and resolve issues under time pressure
- Responsible for meeting projects deliverables and timelines and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with more than 2 years’ experience in Controls Engineering (preferably Beckhoff / Siemens Simatic S7 / Allen Bradley)
- Fresh graduates with basic programming knowledge are welcome to apply. A formal training program available.
- Experience in designing, programming and implementing PLC-based industrial automation systems
- Familiar with network theory and be able to troubleshoot common industrial networking protocols i.e. Ethernet/IP, ProfiBus, ProfiNet, EtherCat, DeviceNet, etc
- Experience working with intelligent visualization and data acquisition systems
- High level of commitment, resilience and flexibility
- Interest in becoming a subject matter expert or team leader with increasing responsibilities
- Good communication skills and able to manage customers feedback and maintain customers satisfaction investigating concerns and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience in implementing PLC controls for robot cells with interfaces to FANUC, Staubli or Epson robots is preferred
- Basic knowledge of image processing (optics, camera, lighting) is preferred
- Willingness to travel worldwide is an advantage. Frequent travelling of up to 30-50% is needed.
