Job Responsibilities:
Marine:
- Coordinate and arrange Oil Major Vetting Inspections promptly as directed.
- Conduct Marine Inspections on vessels and provide pre-vetting assistance as required. Ensure all deficiencies noted during inspections are documented and filed in the common drive.
- Perform annual onboard navigation audits during short voyages. Input audit results into the navigation database and ensure follow-up on all identified deficiencies.
- Assist in accident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Participate in ASL Emergency Response Team activities.
- Organize external safety audits and onboard training sessions in collaboration with appointed companies.
- Monitor and support vessels on operational issues such as loading, discharging, tank cleaning, and grade changes, in coordination with Operations.
Quality and Compliance:
- Support the implementation of ASL Ship Management’s Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environmental Policies, including sailing onboard for short voyages to implement the HSSEQ System for new vessels.
- Contribute to periodical management reviews of the HSSEQ system, document findings, and propose actions as needed.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the HSSEQ Management System.
- Serve as a member of the internal Marine & HSSEQ audit team.
- Assist in establishing annual ISM & ISPS audit plans, coordinate internal audits, participate in audits, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Assist in investigating accidents, marine casualties, and near misses, conducting root cause analyses as required.
- Assist in preparing, implementing, and maintaining office and vessel contingency plans.
- Liaise with vessels on safety, navigation, operations, health, quality, security, and environmental matters, including responding monthly to Vessel Monthly Safety Reports and Near Miss Reports.
- Review safety-related reports from vessels and other sources.
