The Sales Engineer Role would require he/she to:
· To implement the Distributed Generation APAC business model, effect sales contracts, in accordance with the JV model and ensure that all activities are compliant with TRDG HSE and compliance standards.
· Develop accurate segmentation and targeting of the market including realizing market opportunities, establishing balance of pipeline development and revenue generation.
· Identify and target potential customers and partnerships; to build relationship and originate opportunities for the DG Business.
· Conduct Site assessments and complete accurate site assessment reports, contributing to the PV System design in alignment with local regulations, TTE Technical specifications while always holding strong the TotalEnergies HSE mindset.
· Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy and the specifics of their proposed systems.
· Present and explain solar solutions to potential customers, addressing technical questions and concerns.
· Meet with clients to present and negotiate high-value contracts and bring them to a close.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and follow-up.
· Coordinate with internal teams, local regulatory bodies, and other third-parties to ensure smooth project execution.
· Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
· Document customer activities and communication, maintain entries in CRM (Salesforce) and other sales management tools.
· Coordinate with pre-sales teams, project teams, technical teams, post sales teams to effectively implement customer objectives and project plans.
· Grow the C&I portfolio; including but not limited to marketing, origination, sales and service. - Plan, Report and achieving the set KPIs
Experience & Qualifications
· At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a commercial/industrial environment.
· Working experience in Singapore electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, and construction codes desired.
· Degree in Engineering or related professional qualifications considered a plus.
· Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations.
· Experience in renewable energy; in particular solar and energy industry is an advantage.
· In-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape, experience in positioning sophisticated solutions, structuring pricing proposals.
· Proven track record in building, negotiating, and executing contracts contributing to positive business growth.
· Excellent presentation and communications skills with demonstrated ability to influence.
· Proven ability to work independently and effectively.
