A reputable shipowner is seeking a Marine Superintendent (Project Cargo) to join their dynamic team.
We also encourage applications from individuals with experience as port captains or surveyors with sailing experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supporting cargo transport and engineering across diverse vessel types.
- Developing transport engineering solutions such as heavy lifting, sea-fastening, ship stability, and structural analysis.
- Creating and revising plans for cargo stowage, lifting, sea-fastening, and operational execution.
- Providing technical expertise to commercial and chartering teams for optimal cargo project outcomes.
- Collaborating with commercial, operations teams, and cargo superintendents to plan and implement safe, efficient, and cost-effective operational strategies.
Ideal Candidate:
- Possession of a relevant degree or equivalent experience in maritime studies, engineering, or related fields, with a preference for sailing experience.
- Robust technical expertise encompassing cargo transport, engineering solutions, and meticulous operational planning.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal aptitude crucial for adept stakeholder engagement.
- Readiness to travel and attend vessel operations as necessary, including monthly travel requirements.
