Newbuild Projects Coordinator

Partnering with a Shipowner, this role will primarily involve assisting in the documentation and contracts related to shipbuilding projects for their fleet.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with business administration tasks and capable of effectively liaising with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and managing documentation and contracts for shipbuilding projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support commercial business administration tasks.
  • Manage and analyze data using Excel to support decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, shipyards, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external parties, maintaining effective communication in both Chinese and English.
  • Oversee shipbuilding activities, attend meetings, and participate in naming ceremonies for new build ships.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in shipbuilding processes and documentation management.
  • Support spontaneous maritime related business activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in documentation management and contract administration, preferably in newbuild/shipbuilding or maritime industries.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders in China.
  • Ability and willingness to travel will be preferred.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and terminology is an advantage
