Job Description

1. Assist the Principal in the overall administration of the school and deputises in his absence.

2. Coordinate curriculum development and monitor its implementation, especially for English and Mathematics.

3. Manage student services and academic counseling.

4. Handle discipline and ensure a safe and secure environment for students and staff.

5. Set educational standards and goals, and establish the policies and procedures to achieve them.

6. Evaluate and guide staff performance, offering training and development opportunities as necessary.

7. Communicate with parents, regulatory bodies and the public.

8. Participate in committee meetings, staff meetings, and parent meetings.

9. Keep abreast of developments in education and implement new practices where applicable.

10. Contribute to the development of the school’s strategic plan.

Position Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferably Singapore NIE-trained with PGDE qualified, or equivalent;

2. Clear criminal background check;

3. Two years of middle to upper management experience in a Singapore-based education system preferred.

4. Bilingual in Chinese preferred.
