We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Specialist to lead our team in identifying, evaluating, and launching new business ventures. This is a high-impact role where you'll play a pivotal part in shaping our company's growth trajectory.
Lead the Way in Business Development
You will be the driving force behind our business development process, taking ventures from initial concept through to successful closure. This includes:
- Strategic Vision: Collaborating with investors to set ambitious goals and milestones for each new venture.
- Deal Expertise: Assessing and prioritizing proposals based on investment criteria, offering innovative commercial and technical solutions to enhance our offerings.
- Negotiation Prowess: Leading the development and execution of negotiation strategies, managing commercial agreements, and reviewing legal documents (e.g., head of terms, MoUs, cost-sharing agreements).
- Collaboration: Partnering with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, strategy, etc.) and external entities (consultants, advisors) to drive business opportunities forward.
- Executive Leadership: Preparing and presenting compelling briefs to corporate committees and executives.
- Team Development: Providing guidance and mentorship to your team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in business development, venture capital, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CFA, CMA, PMP, or similar) is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, valuation, and business operations.
- Proven track record in one or more areas: carve-out divestment, financial restructuring, or IPOs.
- Deep understanding of industry best practices, regulatory frameworks, and government mandates.
