We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to develop, maintain and support Cloud Infrastructure and Operations in SGX.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of Cloud resources, including spinning up/down of Cloud resources, configurations, monitoring, enhancement, patching, backup among others.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the installation, administration, maintenance, and knowledge base of all procedure/ problems/ solutions.
- Troubleshooting and timely resolution of problems, incidents, and operations inefficiencies.
- Proactive preventive maintenance and monitoring to upkeep availability, improve performance and scale capacity of Cloud.
- Identify gaps/ shortfalls/ inefficiencies, recommend, and develop improvements in Cloud Operations and Processes.
- Secure Cloud implementations and Operations with appropriate security tools and services against intrusions, unauthorized access, DDOS attacks, presence of virus or malicious malwares, etc.
- Participate in audit assessments, including preparing Request for Information (RFI), leading presentations, and attending clarifications sessions.
- Timely closure of audit items, incident tickets, and follow-up on problems, incidents and issues.
- 24 X 7 on call and weekend work is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/ Information Technology or any Computer related fields, with at least 8 years’ relevant experience and exposure.
- Cloud Technologies and Service Offerings – Abreast with the latest Cloud Technologies and Service Offerings, with ability to assess and recommend valued added proposals.
- Infrastructure as Code and Services – Strong knowledge and hands-on experiences in developing and operating Infrastructure as a Code or Services via tools such as Terraforms
- Operating Systems – Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems used for Cloud development and implementations, including architecture, features, capabilities, maintenance, configurations, administration, and operations.
- Database – Strong understanding of Oracle, MS SQL and PostgresSQL databases used for Cloud development and implementations, including architecture, features, capabilities, maintenance, configurations, administration, and operations.
- Networking – Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies, with focus on interconnectivity between Clouds, Internet, and On-premises
- Containerization – Proficient in containerization concepts, planning, implementation, and operations, with strong knowledge for Tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Virtualization – Strong knowledge of Virtualization with skillset and experiences on running huge workloads and resources across multiple Clouds and On-premises.
- Programming – Strong programming skills, with knowledge of languages such as SQL, Java, Python, Ruby, Goland, PHP and .NET among others
- Web Services and APIs – Strong knowledge with hands on- experience in developing and operating APIs in a large complex environment across multiple Clouds and On-premises. Knowledge of open standards, such as XML, SOAP, WDSDK, UDDI.
- DevOps – Strong understanding and hands-on experience on DevOps implementation and operations.
- Certifications from the various Cloud Service Providers will be advantageous.
- Proven track record in delivering, implementing and operationalize large scale Cloud infrastructure.
- Good understanding of latest Industrial practices for Cloud and how to apply and implement.
- Experience of reporting and analysing performance data and presenting information for various audience
