Job Overview:
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and quality of data that powers our machine-learning models. Responsibilities include data cleaning, processing, and organization, as well as implementing data governance practices to maintain data accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and process raw data from diverse sources for use in our predictive models.
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow.
- Implement data validation processes to guarantee data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
- Identify and execute data process improvements, such as automating manual tasks and optimizing data delivery.
- Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data confidentiality.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering), or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience in data cleaning, preprocessing, and wrangling.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages is an advantage.
- Experience managing large datasets and developing data pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
