Astek is offering a role of Windows and DB engineer for our project based in SG.
Responsibilities:
- Patch Management: Update Windows servers and databases for security and stability.
- System Monitoring: Track performance, availability, and capacity to preempt issues.
- Tool Configuration: Set up and manage tools for system health and performance monitoring.
- Configuration Management: Implement processes for consistent system configurations.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and fix OS and database issues efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other teams for infrastructure changes and updates.
- Documentation: Maintain records of procedures, configurations, and solutions.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years in Windows and database operations.
- Proficient in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell).
Experienced with database management (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
Knowledgeable about patch management tools (Ivanti, Tanium).
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds).
Familiar with configuration management tools (Ansible).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Advantageous skills
- Certifications: MCSE, MCSA, or similar.
- Cloud Experience: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Containerization: Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Scripting: Familiarity with Python or PowerShell for automation.
