The great things you will be expected to do:
- Lead the Stewarding team in all aspects of the department and ensure standards are followed
- Manage workers cost & outsourced labor. Prepare work schedules for part timers & vendors according to volume of business forecast to maximize labor productivity.
- Ensure all hygiene & sanitation, health & Environment Safety regulations standards are complied to
- Set up SOP and maintain records required for the effective operation of the department, such as PPE and HSE related matters
- Responsible for the planning, organization and execution of the inventory count. Maintain sufficient supply, determine breakage costs, operational usage and make requisition for replacements of items
- Work closely with Technical or Facility maintenance persons for any necessary repairs such as floor, doors and walls and follow up with related teams. Raise tickets and co-ordinate in submitting safe entry permits when necessary.
- Supervise Pest Control company performance to achieve pest free working place
- Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other areas assigned. Conduct daily walk-throughs and inspect all back of the house and food service areas for cleanliness and safety practices
- Review all catering event orders to ensure proper set-up is in place
- Control quality of washing equipment, and supervise burnishing of silverware, kitchen cleaning and garbage disposal
- Assist in the control of Food & Beverage divisional expenses by educating outlet on proper chemical usage, equipment handling, breakage costs and safety issues
- Perform physical job duties in emergency situations
- Attend regularly scheduled departmental and interdepartmental meetings
- Engage with Team Members periodically with regular 1-1’s. Assess performance, career progression and disciplinary action as necessary.
- Other ad-hoc related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- A recognized certification in sanitation management with at least 8 years in-house or agency stewarding experience and 4 years in supervisory position
- Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety, Fire Safety and Security Policies
- Strong knowledge of chemical usage, proven track ability to teach and train staff for proper handling, usage & safety issues
- Comprehensive knowledge of business needs and productivity requirements.
- Computer literate and ability to present to different stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
