On behalf of our client we are looking for Network Engineer to work on one on
one basis on various tasks.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our network infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation:
- Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure network solutions.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS).
- Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot network problems and outages; schedule upgrades and collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Security:
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and address potential threats.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate network documentation and Visio diagrams.
- Provide regular reports on network status, performance, and issues.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other IT infrastructure.
- Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting for network issues.
- Mentor and train junior network engineers and other IT staff.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, including hands-on experience with network design and implementation.
- Proven experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco, Juniper, or similar technologies.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Familiarity with access control models and network security.
- Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent are preferred.
