Senior Logistics Sales Engineer

Essential Functions:

1. Properly forecast and close logistics opportunities with OEMs and End Users.
2. Follows up on sales leads and schedules customer visits.
3. Prospects for new OEMs and End Users who are not using Cognex’s logistics products.
4. Build long-term relationships with OEMs and End Users that enable year over year growth.
5. Utilize the 6 bullets sales process for winning at logistics accounts.
6. Conduct product and solution demonstrations at customer sites.
7. Collaborate with counterparts from other territories on opportunities that are either integrated our installed in a different territory or where the decision makers don’t reside in the LSE’s territory.
8. Follow up on customer inquiries,understand system requirements, and differentiate the Cognex solution.
9. Generates proposals individually or in collaboration with Logistics Solution and Services team.
10. Assists at trade shows and other marketing events.
11. Coordinates trials and proof of concepts utilizing the Applications Engineering team.
12. Maintain and continuously update project information in salesBook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Proven track record of sales performance in the Material Handling industry.
2. Proven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment.
3. Industry knowledge in the logistics ID space.
4. Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basis
5. PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications
6. Ability to work independently is required
7. Basic business English communication in both written and spoken.

Minimum education and work experience required:

1. Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
2. Proven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets is required
3. Experience in selling technical products/complex solutions to logistics project managers and engineers is also required
