Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Infrastructure Manager to develop infrastructure solutions according to IT strategy and drive transformation for the organization by adopting established platforms.
2. Keep abreast of the latest technologies and evaluate the feasibility of integrating or adopting the same to address business needs.
3. Spearhead the resolution of critical and complex operations issues escalated from Service Desk to ensure operational-level agreement (OLA) service levels are met.
4. Assist in the requirements gathering, preparation of proposals, development of business case and conduct of presentations to system owners.
5. Partner with stakeholders to ensure cost competitiveness, high performance, availability, failover and disaster recovery.
6. Participate in procurement and renewal processes, including development of Request-For-Proposal (RFP), soliciting quotations, price negotiation, recommendation, goods received/service acceptance and payment submission.
7. Analyse reports pertaining to system health and performance, inventory and cost tracking.
8. Ensure that the outsourced Partners adhere to the contractual obligations to administer, support and maintenance of the core infrastructure systems.
9. Prepare effective system documentation to for ease of operations support.
10. Manage system recovery process and prepare incident reports in the event of outages.
Requirements:
1. Degree holder in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
2. At least 3 years of experience in handling IT infrastructure design, planning and implementation, and support escalations.
3. Knowledge of infrastructure best practices, system, processes and methodologies.
4. Hands-on experience with solutions from industry leading networking and cloud computing providers, specifically Cisco and Microsoft Azure.
5. Preferably certificated in networking and system technologies, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certification in Azure and Messaging workloads, Solutions Architect in Microsoft’s infrastructure-related workloads.
6. Good written and oral communication skills.
7. Team player and process driven with keen eye for details.
