The Position:
A thriving Singaporean company that is known as a leader in its field is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in a staff supervisory role. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will be responsible for handling full set of accounts, preparation of financial statements, cash flow monitoring, balance sheet schedules and liaising with auditors and tax agents while ensuring all accounting is prepared in accordance with accounting standards.
You will supervise four finance executives (1 GL, 1 AP and 2 AR) while assisting the Finance Director on a broad range of finance initiatives that will continually provide new exposure and upskilling. In addition, you will occasionally be required to assist the company’s rapidly growing China entities as well as playing a key role in new market entries as the company grows further in the SEA region.
Skills & Experience:
You will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably a blend of audit firm and industry exposure. Business level Mandarin language skill is required (written and spoken) as you will sometimes liaise with counterparts in China and may occasionally need to use certain documents that are in Mandarin only. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
