The Role
This position is for an internal Cybersecurity Consultant who will play a vital role in enhancing and maintaining the company's security posture. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and ensure the protection of the organization's digital assets.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across the company's digital infrastructure, including networks, web and mobile applications, wireless systems, cloud environments, and IoT devices.
- Perform detailed reviews of host configurations, focusing on operating systems, applications, and network setups to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
- Analyze source code of internally developed applications to uncover vulnerabilities and collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices.
- Develop comprehensive reports detailing security findings, risk levels, and recommended remediation steps for management and relevant stakeholders.
- Present assessment results and security recommendations to various internal teams, effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and innovative defense techniques to continuously improve the company's security strategies.
Requirements
- Professional certifications such as CREST CRT (Pen) or OSCP are highly preferred.
- Additional certifications like CEH, GPEN, GWAPT, or GMOB will be considered a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in security testing tools including but not limited to Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nessus, Nmap, Netsparker, and Wireshark.
- Relevant hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security testing and review processes.
- Strong collaborative skills, capable of working effectively across different departments while also demonstrating the ability to execute tasks independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to diverse internal audiences, from IT teams to executive management.
