About the role
In this role based in Singapore, you will report to the Global Procurement Finance Senior Manager and support the Procurement team with financial analysis and insight that supports the delivery of the Procurement strategic objectives; we play a key part in Dyson overall success.
The role assumes active engagement in senior management decision-making processes including attendance at senior management meetings and insights-based advisory during key decision-making moments; by providing data-based insights, summarizing financial models and presenting potential scenarios.
The focus is to drive savings initiatives and bring out the story behind the numbers and providing insights that inform decision-making around costs and supply to ensure we optimize the use of our financial resources and continue to improve profitability.
Core accountabilities:
- Finance support and business partner to Supply Chain team
- Budget and report Procurement Cost Savings KPI and drive towards PCV targets.
- Budget, manage and report on Other Cost of Sales (OCOS) spend
- Conduct periodic financial risk assessments of Contract Manufacturers (CMs)
- Partner with Procurement COE to ensure data completeness and accuracy across all commodity costs in the internal PDC system
- Partner with the Product Cost team to build and refine data and reporting capabilities to aid in value added analytics that drives cost performance.
- Review of key processes to drive process improvements
About you
- Full/Part Qualified Accountant or equivalent post graduate qualification with experience in financial planning, analysis and/or strategy.
- Experience in rigorous financial analysis and comfortable with large database
- Excellent analytical ability and Excel spreadsheet skills
- Ability to understand concepts and ideas quickly and model data in meaningful ways
- Naturally Inquisitive - comfortable and willing to interrogate existing systems with large amounts of data for answers but accepts that not every query has an exact answer
- Proactive in proposing ideas to challenge status quo
- Experience in working across functions and cultures and dealing with overseas entities
- Excellent personal and business presentation skills, in particular the presentation of financial information to non-finance managers and directors
- Assertive and able to influence upwards and peers
- Good spoken & written English
- Has strong sense of operational discipline and ability to meet deadlines
- Tableau experience a plus
