Embrace excellence

Reporting to the Modern On-Trade Channel Senior Manager, the Modern On-Trade Channel Assistant Manager (Singapore) is responsible and accountable for the best-in-class execution and delivery of key commercial objectives (achievement of top line sales revenue, volume targets, allocation optimization) and brand presentation in the Modern On-Trade for the Singapore market across TEG portfolio. The Modern On-Trade (cocktail bars, bistro, entertainment venues, high energy) represents 50% weight to total Trade business in Singapore, with >250 outlet business partners. This role will have an expanded role into leading from project phase to actual operations, the first ever fully functioning bar at our own operated boutique located at The Raffles Hotel.


Make an impact

  • Achieve and exceed the sales plan for Modern On-Trade to meet growth targets and sustain TEG’s market leadership in the competition landscape.
  • Supports the Senior Channel Manager in executing the commercial strategy, channel-product mix management and management of selling cost/trade investments in the Modern On-Trade segment.
  • Deliver best-in-class Modern On-Trade Distribution Segmentation and Strategic Visibility with The Macallan as primary focus through implementation of relevant On-Trade activations and strategic collaboration with key accounts to elevate the salience and equity at Trade.
  • Continuously assess the addressable outlet universe (including quality of outlet distribution) to acquire and penetrate into new accounts for TEG portfolio to prepare for future growth opportunities.
  • Ensure high quality trade activation in terms of programme planning and implementation, in partnership with internal functions when/where relevant (Marketing and Boutique) to maximize brand impact in a cohesive and consistent manner.
  • Establish, manage and maintain strong relationships with key outlet customers through sales call visits to achieve defined sales plan and prepare for future growth opportunities.
  • Build strong relationship with strategic Modern On-Trade accounts as well as key regional and global organisers such as World’s/Asia 50 Best Bars to seed growth opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Effectively negotiate outlet contracts with customers with the aim to achieve win-win with trade customers while maximizing trade investment ROI and optimising use of price support/selling cost budget.
  • Regularly update the Singapore Commercial team on sales trends, competitor activities and industry trends

Talent and skill

  • At least 5 years B2B sales leadership or key account management capacity in premium consumer goods segment, wine and spirits, F&B or hospitality segment.
  • Understanding of the Modern On-Trade dynamics of the wine/spirit/cocktail landscape in Singapore.
  • Appreciation for wine and spirits category and the nightlife lifestyle.
  • Driven, self-motivated, proactive and positive with a can-do mindset.
  • Strong negotiation, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer relation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in MS Office, Sales Force or Power BI.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Mandarin Chinese and local dialects
