Doehle Shipmanagement Pte. Ltd., Singapore is looking to recruit a Crew Superintendent for their new Ship Management setup in Singapore.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the professional manning of the assigned vessels and is reporting directly to the responsible Technical Superintendent of the Team.
The company’s fleet is presently being build up and will consist of in total 15-20 container and dry bulk vessels by the end of 2024. Crew Superintendent Would you like to make a difference with us? Please send your documents to [email protected] • Crew planning for officers as well as ratings. This includes the selection and assignment in joint execution with the Technical Superintendent. • Monitor and supervise global crew changes in the most cost efficient manner. Initiate briefings for on-signing crew and carry out relevant communication internally/externally. • Review and evaluate crew performance reporting / appraisals and be prepared to communicate/coordinate disciplinary proceedings in cooperation with vessel’s command and the Technical Superintendent ashore, if required. • Liaise closely with Insurance Department and take care of crew related medical cases as well as emergencies. • Stay up-to-date and informed about regulatory changes, i.e. STCW 95, flag state requirements and follow company’s protocol. • Regular ship visits in the vicinity of the regional office
Your tasks and responsibilites: • A motivated, driven and eager character interested to be part of building a new Ship Management by living newly established structures for crew related matters. • A well structured, organized and good communicator that is also able to confidently handle urgent situations related to crew changes and its preparations. • Experience in organizing and handling personnel relations. Ideally you have already worked in the shipping industry and the field of crewing. • fluent written and spoken English enabling you to communicate with multinational crew of different ranks.
