Job Description:
Position Title: Contracts Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, Procurement Officers, and other staff involved in contract administration with the Site Owner (S.O.), Employer, and subcontractors/suppliers.
- Oversee contract management during the delivery phase as an administrator.
- Draft and review various contracts and agreements.
- Conduct meetings with Clients, Supervision Officers, and subcontractors to discuss contractual matters.
- Provide contractual advice to the Project Manager.
- Identify opportunities and risks in processes and develop implementation plans.
- Write, evaluate, negotiate, and execute contracts including Main Contracts and Subcontracts.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
- Preferably, years of experience in managing and administrating large-scale process-related contracts. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying and/or contract/construction law are advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, and contractual terminology.
- Experience managing team members in their daily tasks.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Excellent negotiation skills, particularly in contractual claim issues.
- Capable of working independently, meticulous, analytical, and proactive.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Deadline-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines effectively.
