The MEICA Construction Manager will assume the lead role within the construction team for an Integrated Waste Management Facility project. This individual should have a proven track record with excellent communication skills and possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation systems installation, as well as substantial hands-on project management expertise in the construction sector.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
2. Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate MEICA systems seamlessly into existing building design, ensuring compatibility and optimal operation.
3. Conduct technical reviews of MEICA engineering designs and proposals, recommending improvements to optimise equipment constructability and efficiency.
4. Develop MEICA construction plans, sequencing, resource allocation, and logistical considerations.
5. Prepare cost estimates for MEICA components and services, considering design changes and project specifics.
6. Provide technical leadership in the installation of MEICA systems.
7. Oversee the entire MEICA construction process, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications, industry standards, safety standards, and best practices.
8. Supervise and mentor MEICA construction team, subcontractors, and vendors.
9. Collaborate closely with the client / stakeholders, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring MEICA systems align with their operational requirements.
10. Enforce strict safety protocols and industry regulations on the construction site.
Provide regular project updates, technical reports, and installation strategies to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical, or a related field.
- 15 years of experience in the planning and construction of waste to energy plants or major process industry / industrial / infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record as a MEICA construction manager in large scale projects, managing internal / external stakeholders – HSE, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Client, Authorities.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Ability to identify and address construction challenges and issues promptly.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to construction logistics.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Profound knowledge of MEICA systems and technologies.
