We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost planning and budget estimates, preparing Bill of Quantities (BQ) and tender documents, and ensuring accuracy and clarity in all project-related financial documentation. The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing procurement processes, controlling costs, and advising on financial impacts related to project specifications. The successful candidate will also be involved in site visits and clarification meetings, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Conduct cost planning and prepare budget estimates for projects
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ) and tender documents, and highlight discrepancies for clarification with consultants
Prepare variation orders, progress payments, claims, and finalization of accounts
Source quotations from specialists, sub-contractors, and suppliers, and manage procurement processes
Perform cost control to ensure project spending remains within budget
Review and advise the Project Manager on the cost impact of variations to project specifications
Candidate must possess a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building & Civil Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying
Experience in pre and post contract administration with knowledge of cost estimation and quantity take-off is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Strong self-organization skills, responsibility, and ability to multitask
Excellent analytical and communication skills
