Job Details:
- Oversee all daily activities of the In-situ Machining Department while coordinating with the Technical Department. Supervisors and the Service Sales Division.
- Reaching financial goals and the department's overall P&L.
- Welfare, direction, performance, and discipline of the workforce. Additionally, that department complies completely with all corporate and legal guidelines.
- Health and safety of department workers, subcontractors, and other workers whether they are assigned to departmental tasks or work in other departments.
- Ensuring that the department continues to adhere to the ISO management system strictly.
- Constant worker training and development with relation to own department.
- Assure that the In-situ Department operates profitably and competently, with a team that is highly skilled and driven, modern work ethics, and state-of-the-art tools and equipment.
- Oversee in-situ teams' daily responsibilities both onboard and ashore, including work-scope planning, staffing allotment, determining the necessary tools, scheduling, and repair and service job completion.
- Track developments and make that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and with the appropriate calibre.
- Occasionally, personally check ships and offshore vessels, troubleshoot issues, conduct repairs, upgrades, and conversions, and give customers sage technical advise.
- Develop trusting relationships with local clients to learn about market needs and opportunities, and create connections to open up new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a marine or mechanical engineering degree
- A minimum of five years of experience working in a shipyard, offshore, or marine environment
- A minimum of five years of practical experience in laser alignment, in-situ line boring and milling, in-situ crankshaft grinding and machining, and general machining expertise
