We are seeking a dedicated Site Engineer with expertise in roofing construction to oversee and manage our projects effectively. The Site Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timely completion of roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong technical skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise roofing construction projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on-site.
- Interpret roofing plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure workmanship meets industry standards.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Estimate materials, labour, and equipment required for each project.
- Resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and photographs.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures on-site.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in roofing construction.
- In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret roofing plans and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience with roof inspection and assessment tools.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Prior experience in estimating and budget management.
