Goal of Position
The candidate is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Compliance Management System (CMS), covering antitrust, anti-corruption, criminal law, and AML/CFT (together, Compliance), and Corporate & Information Security Management Systems (CISMS), including physical, travel, and information & cyber security as well as data privacy and crisis and business continuity management (together, Security), in Asia Pacific. Additionally, the candidate will assist the organization and its employees in adhering to all applicable internal policies, procedures and practices as well as external laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain and improve of Compliance- and Security-related policies, standards and procedures in the Region and ensure alignment with the regulatory environment and the overall business strategy
- Provide regulatory updates and other relevant information and endeavor to safeguard the company's reputation and assets through periodic assessments in high risk areas
- Ensure effective controls are in place that are designed to monitor the effectiveness of the region's CMS and CISMS
- Support local staff tasked with Compliance and/or Security roles and responsibilities on risk/control assessments and Compliance and/or Security concepts as well as internal and external audits
- Ensure and support the adequate review of the appropriateness of the CMS and CISMS and implement necessary remediation for any identified deficiencies
- Oversee, conduct and document training programs on Compliance- and Security-related topics relevant to the region to enhance employees' knowledge and understanding of related policies, standards and procedures as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the business and its activities to ensure adequate Compliance and Security oversight and resources
- Maintain a strong presence in the business to promote an environment where individual staff will seek guidance when they have questions
- Provide guidance to management and staff on Compliance and Security standards and issues
- Oversee, conduct and support internal investigations
- In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his supervisor that are essentially related to his duties.
Requirements
- Has Degree in law, business administration or finance, preferably with an MBA
- Possesses at least 6 to 8 years of regulatory compliance experience in a similarly sized business, including a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
- Has experience in successfully implementing ethics and compliance processes
- Possesses knowledge in local antitrust, anti-corruption, and criminal law
- Familiar with sales and manufacturing environment
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Equip with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willing to travel
- Fluent in English and preferably proficient in an Asian language
