Hiring:
Title: Surveyor, Auditor, Maritime Operations
Things you will be doing:
• Carry out Classification & Statutory survey/audit/inspection as per Class Rule, Statutory Instruments [IMO Convention, National Regulations (FOC, ZC) etc].
• Carry out ISM, ISPS and MLC audit.
• Carry out Load Line, Tonnage, Stability calculations and plan approvals.
• Help ship-owners register their ships under various flags (e.g. Panama, Belize).
• Arrange surveyor/auditor to survey or audit vessels/oil rigs/cases globally. Help ship-owners apply for ship's classification and statutory certificates.
• Prepare quotations. Prepare invoices. Collect money due from customers. Pay suppliers.
• Update database of the company.

Required qualities:
• Able to speak and read both English and Chinese.
Shanghai accounts department will often send simple emails to you in Chinese. Occasionally, you may need to speak to Chinese ship-owners in Chinese. During weekly meetings, you can speak English but the Shanghai team speaks Chinese, and you need to understand what they are saying. For all emails, you write them in English.
Preferred qualities:
• Have experience preparing Classification survey reports/carrying out ISM, ISPS and MLC audit/carrying out Load Line, Tonnage, Stability calculations and plan approvals.
• Live close to workplace.
• Worked in a maritime-related company in the past.
Working hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, and overtime if needed.
