Job Description
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models for various store types to evaluate the performance and viability of retail operations, including sales forecasts, expense projections, and profitability analysis for various store types and formats.
- Store Expansion Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and due diligence for new store openings, including assessing market potential, conducting feasibility studies, and preparing investment proposals to support decision-making by management.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards to track store performance against targets, highlighting key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide recommendations to optimize financial outcomes and achieve business objectives
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process by collaborating with store managers and department heads to develop revenue targets, expense budgets, and capital expenditure plans. Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for cost control or revenue enhancement
- Decision Support: Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, such as pricing strategies, product assortment planning, and store layout optimization. Evaluate the financial impact of proposed changes and make recommendations based on thorough analysis
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including operations, marketing, and merchandising, to gather data, validate assumptions, and align financial goals with operational strategies. Act as a liaison between finance and other departments to ensure financial considerations are integrated into decision-making processes
The Successful Applicant
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of the retail or F&B industry.
