Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced full-time Trainer to join our prestigious international hotel and tourism school. As a Culinary Trainer, you will have the exciting opportunity to educate and inspire our students in the art of culinary excellence. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering engaging culinary lessons, supervising practical training sessions, and providing constructive feedback to students. Collaborating with our dedicated culinary team, you will contribute to curriculum development, ensuring its alignment with industry trends and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, extensive knowledge of local & international cuisine, and a passion for teaching. Previous experience in a similar role and relevant culinary certifications are highly desirable. Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree holder in relevant field of studies from a recognised educational institution with at least 3-5 years industry experience at a supervisory/managerial level
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance or DACE advantageous
- Excellent command of English with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Familiarity with the latest developments and best practices in food and industrial trends, safety protocols, and sanitation measures.
- Proficient and familiar with sustainable initiatives associated with the food and beverage sector
- Working knowledge of relevant computer software applications pertaining to course delivery, e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalent
- Team player who is able to work with faculty members and administrative staff
- Keen interest in nurturing students in their learning journey
