ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To lead the process and mechanical design of the assigned project related to Industrial water and wastewater treatment plant design.
• Ensure the timely submissions / approvals of the designs and best quality work for utmost client satisfaction. Also ensure the designs are optimized for the cost and timely completion.
• Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team environment to perform all duties in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with the supporting team (Process/ Mechanical / Piping / E&IC) to ensure all engineering documents and deliverables are prepared accurately and within the desired schedule.
• Work closely with Gradiant Proposal/ NPI (R&D) to understand Gradiant's suite of proprietary technologies and transition to commercial applications.
• Work with NPI to understand project specific Heat & Mass Balance and translate to create system PFD's
• Prepare and review the project documentation including PFD, P&ID, General Arrangement, Equipment - Calculations/ Datasheets / Specifications, BOO, BOM, RFQ packages, GA & Manufacturing drawings, Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
• Size and selection of system components including but not limited to Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Tanks, pumps, blowers, piping, valves and instrumentations.
• Ensure process and equipment designs as per the membrane, resin, and equipment supplier's guidelines to ensure the process guarantee meets the contract commitment.
• Be able to identify and provide necessary solutions for the technical issues related to process design and engineering in the field of water and wastewater treatment plant design.
• Be able to work through problems from a technical and practical prospective, while maintaining cost controls.
• Work with outside vendors and purchasing to select and establish equipment component specifications, material take-offs, requisitions and vendor orders while coordinating cost control, project schedule and manufacturing efforts.
• Have good organizational and communication skills
• Support Gradiant Subsidiaries across the globe as required.
• Support Proposal, NPI, Project & Operation (Site installation/ Commissioning/O&M) as required.
