Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you manage 2 direct reports. Responsible for all finance activities, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and governance, you also prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS. As a key business partner to the leadership team, you provide insightful analysis and advise business from a financial perspective. You also drive audit, tax and finance advisory matters with work processes. You would also play a key role in conducting presentations to senior stakeholders including board members.
- Oversee all financial control activities including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers, and disclosures
- Monitor Accounting and Finance departments’ policies and procedures, collaborating with an executive team to establish processes and controls to ensure integrity of Company’s ledger
- Summarise budget trends, analyse deficiencies and report variances to executives
- Provide guidance on complex tax and compliance issues, contributing to financial strategy discussions
- Take care of tax preparation duties, liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation
- Manage Accounting team’s and other departments’ daily accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and general accounting
- Help drive efficiency throughout the entire company like looking out of the business internal processes and look for better ways to manage
- Find areas to streamline the company’s operations whether via accounting automation, transformation initiatives or accounting tactics
Requirements
- Candidates with work rights in Singapore i.e. Singapore Citizen and/or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- At least 10 years’ relevant experience in managerial or supervisory roles
- Excellent command in written and spoken English to foster business partnerships
- Possess an eye for detail towards business change readiness to address risks and opportunities
- Effective communication skills to provide actionable information and apply new policies
- Demonstrated strong self-initiative, strong organisation skills, leadership and managerial skills to command team’s respect, inspire to act and ensure such actions are aligned with organisation’s overall vision
- Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic mindset to solve problems Preferred Requirements
- Member of recognised accounting bodies i.e. CPA/CA, CIA, ACCA
- Solid experience and/or training from Big 4 or large technological organisations
- Working knowledge in SAP Finance, Power BI, SharePoint
