We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled HCI specialist to join our team. As an HCI specialist, you will play a crucial role in conducting rapid interactive usability testing of wireframes, physical mockups, and prototypes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, build and deploy experiential hardware implementation such as embedded sensory system and sensory interface programming
- Draft and design hardware components line diagrams
- Hardware components sourcing, detailing, communicating and purchasing from local/oversea suppliers
- Perform on-site installation and maintenance of hardware/software components for deployed products, including occasional night or weekend work.
- Independent and responsible of project details and ensuring that the budget and the creative process are aligned.
Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in physical hardware mock-up and prototype development
- Experience with dynamic language coding such as C/C++/Python/C#/Objective-C for microprocessors; object-oriented programming experience is a plus
- Coding and development experience for microprocessors such as Arduino/Raspberry Pi, etc.
- Knowledge in systems or hardware testing, preferably from an R&D setting
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and various hardware test processes, including soldering of wiring and microchips work
- 5 years and above of related field working experience
- Knowledge in embedded systems such as ARM processor
- Ability to experiment with and utilize new UI/APIs libraries and interactive technologies
- Strong problem-solving and hardware-related troubleshooting skills
- Self-driven individual with a high level of motivation
