Job Summary:
The Calibration Engineering Technician is responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of measurement instruments and equipment to ensure they operate within specified parameters. The technician will work closely with engineers and other technical staff to support the calibration process and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Calibration:
- Perform calibration on a wide range of measurement instruments and equipment in-house and or customer premise
- Ensure all calibrations are carried out in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Document calibration results and maintain accurate records.
2. Maintenance:
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on calibration equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments and equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and meets safety standards.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of calibrations.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Implement corrective actions to address any non-conformities identified during audits.
4. Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, including certificates, reports, and logs.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and stored appropriately.
- Update calibration procedures and protocols as needed.
5. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to engineering and production teams.
- Assist in the development and improvement of calibration processes.
- Train new technicians and other staff on calibration procedures and best practices.
6. Compliance:
- Ensure all calibration activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in calibration standards and implement necessary updates.
7. Safety:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate degree or technical certification in engineering technology, metrology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in calibration or a related field.
- Experience with a variety of measurement instruments and calibration equipment.

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
