The role of a Chemist in IU Technical is to support activities in one or more of the following areas with a high level of direction from their line manager:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing new products, technologies &/or RD&I strategy
- Testing/support of existing products, processes and coating systems
- Effective communication to management of the wider department
- Ensure the workplace 5S, safety and security compliance to safety regulations and companys safety standards
- Localization of products for manufacturing
- Developing fundamental understanding of key coating attributes
- Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the QA Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Chemistry or related field
- Self-starter and able to take initiative and drive towards results
- Able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments
- Strong ability to solve problems and communicate effectively
- Candidates with no experience can be considered for this role
